With the evolution of our SFX platform comes yet another milestone for us at Skura Corporation. As of October 1 2013, we have released our Beta Android Installation that is available on the Google Play Store. With our newest versions of our Android installer there have been changes to the installation process, to really streamline the install and really push the envelope with the sales rep in mind. Starting with our Android 4.4.1.6 installer, I will highlight how streamlined our Android install has become.
To get our Android installation process started one must first download our Skura .apk file. This file can be found inside the sfx folder of the instance you intend to connect to.
When the .apk Install package is downloaded the user will be prompted with a listing of permissions required for our application, simply click Install. When it is completed, you will be given the options to either Open the application right now, or click finish the installer and click “Done” to open at a later time.
After opening our application you will be prompted with a new screen, not previously seen in older versions of our application such as iPad, Windows etc. This allows you to configure the server that you wish to connect to right from the get go. The message would display “A remote server has not yet been selected. Would you like to use the default?” then you are given the options to connect to this default server by clicking “Yes” or to type your own server address in by pressing “Customize”.
For our scenario here, we will be clicking the Customize button, which will take us to the settings of our application. To configure which server address you want to access simply click “Remote SCP Server” to bring up the connection settings. In the connection settings you have the ability to set the protocol to http or https, by default it is set to https. You also can enter a hostname, which would be your server address such as sfx.skura.com. Finally you can set a port if the server you are accessing is using one, such as port 5080. After you are content with the settings, simply tap back on your device twice. You will be taken to the start-up screen and prompted with an “Update Found” click yes and begin the download the application files. After you finish the downloading of the application files, you will see the login screen. Simply login with your given credentials and you will have access to all of your content to show and share.

In short our new Android installer can be completed in 5 easy steps:
• Download the .apk from your specified server(Example: sfx.skura.com/sfx)
• Open the application and select “Customize” when prompted to configure your server.
• Select “Remote SCP Server”, then configure the Protocol, Hostname and Port as required.
• After your configurations, press back twice on your device and download the application files.
• When the application files have downloaded, Login to SFX Viewer.
In 5 short easy steps, you can enable your sales force with cutting edge technology, vivid meaningful content and an easy to use interface. Let the Skura SFX platform, work for you today!
